Tackle a variety of jobs with ease!
Router Tables are more and more the ‘go to’ machine in many woodworking workshops. High-powered and cumbersome spindle moulders are being phased out (or only used in industrial applications), replaced by the far more versatile (and somewhat safer) router table. Better guarding, better speed range and infinitely upgradable. The issues have been choosing a suitable plunge router to power your router table and then deciding if you should permanently mount it, or remove it for hand-held use.
Routers are predominantly used to cut patterns, grooves and slots, create decorative edging and joinery. The use of different router bits will enable different cutting techniques and functionality. Start table routing, and you won’t look back!
The Carbatec Router Power Unit is designed specifically to suit the Carbatec Fixed Base Router Lift, and drop into any of our Carbatec Router Tables, Kreg Router Tables (with some minor tweaking), and many other router tables with a 297 x 234mm opening. This power unit can also be used on some CNC machines (that require a full-size fixed base router).
Carbatec’s Router Power Unit features a sturdy aluminium housing with its powerful 2,400W (3 ¼ HP) 10A Motor and Variable Speed Control that adjusts from 10,000 – 22,000 RPM, making it suitable for a wide variety of jobs large and small. The included ¼” and ½” auto releasing and removable ER20 collet inserts ensure that you aren’t limited by router bit choice.
The soft-start safety and speed control features reduces torque at start-up and constant speed under load. Premium sealed shaft bearings extend life whilst delivering minimal bit run-out. Easily install and remove router bits with the included two offset wrenches.
NOTE: This Router Power Unit cannot be used handheld, and requires the Carbatec RT-LIFT-FB, Kreg KR-PRS5000 Router Lifts, or similar.
