For working on curved forms, these tools offer a simple, effective way to sand contours evenly without digging in.
Designed to work with standard sanding belts, they keep the belt tensioned firmly between two ends of a sturdy fiberglass bow. You can bear down on the work, but with no rigid backing, the belt flexes easily to conform to curves. Large knobs at either end let you use a comfortable two-handed grip, helping prevent hand strain when sanding vigorously.
The small bow is about 250mm long. Each bow comes with one 2" × 36" (51mm x 914mm) 120 grit belt, but you can use any belt up to 51mm wide or abrasive strip in any grit, provided it is of suitable length (minimum 450mm for the small bow). You can also adjust the belt tension as needed – tighter for lightly curved surfaces, looser for pronounced contours. No tools are required to change the belt, so you can switch grits as needed to progress from shaping to final smoothing.
Lightweight and maneuverable, at less than 0.5kg, and permits a long stroke that lets you sand large areas quickly. Versatile tools, with uses ranging from boatbuilding and instrument making to turning and much more.
