This jig was developed after many requests from beekeepers for a way to manufacture bee hives using finger joints, so the B975 Box Joint & Beehive Jig was born.
The B975 is a multipurpose box joint jig, and is one of the easiest and simplest jigs to both setup and use. Used to make box and finger joints in 1/2" and 3/4" sizes in material up to 20mm thick, and anywhere from as little as 2" wide to a massive 452mm, it can be used with the workpiece clamped in a vice and the router handheld, or for those with a router table compatible with a guide bush system it can be used inverted on the table.
Leigh ingenuity has flowed on from their many other products directly into this box joint jig, it has been designed to be simple and easy to use, with a minimum of setup.
Being a simple finger joint, joint size is just a matter of adjusting the included eBush to the right position, mark the manual for future reference and with the included 1/2" Straight Router bit, you’re away. The other consideration is the width of the timber, outside the recommended width, and the user is left with a narrow socket and/or pin, project planning is suggested.
