All sets feature replaceable Tungsten Carbide cutters, mounted to Solid Stainless Steel shafts. These are coupled with Stainless Steel Ferrules and solid, smooth European Hardwood handles. They are even supplied in very 'giftable' black storage boxes, as shown. This 3 piece small/medium set is for general purpose scraping work and is perfect for mini and midi lathes, but could also be used on full size lathes. Scrapers are popular due to the fine control one has over their work, providing a great finish with less risk of catching associated with other tools. Popular with pen turners and other craft based spindle projects, but also suited to bowls and vessels. The Tungsten Carbide tips hold an edge far longer than HSS, and can be rotated for a clean sharp edge - then replaced when required. This set features 3 tools - one 12 mm Round TCT cutter; one 11 mm x 28 mm Round-Point Diamond detail TCT cutter; and one 11 mm Radius Edge Square TCT cutter. The shanks are laser etched, 10 mm Stainless Steel round bar, 120 mm in length, while the handles are also laser etched and 220 mm in length.
