Product Code:

Veritas Tenon Saws
Weighing just under 1 1/2 lb (650 grams) with 16" (406mm) blades, these are the largest tenon saws in the Veritas line. This is the 12 teeth per inch (TPI) crosscut saw, but they are also available in 9 TPI rip tooth style. The blades are made from 0.024" (0.6mm) thick high-carbon steel with 0.003" (0.076mm) of set per side and a cut depth of nearly 4" (100mm).
The tenon saw teeth on the crosscut saw have a 15 rake and have been filed with alternating 15 bevels so they sever wood fibres rather than tear them for precision work, fine and accurate cuts.
Each tenon saw is well balanced, with a spine moulded from a mixture of stainless-steel powder for weight, glass fibre for stiffness and a polymer resin binder. The closed handle is configured for exceptional control for a saw of this size and weight, with a hardwood grip secured by a stainless-steel bolt and brass nut.
The tenon saw blade and handle-mounting bolt are moulded into the spine, creating a solid blade/spine/mount assembly.
All woodworkers need a fine tenon saw with supremely sharp teeth and so the Veritas hand saws are excellent value considering their ideal features, materials, and cutting ability. They're suitable for enthusiasts and experts alike.
