XL Pocket-Hole Screws are optimised for use with the Kreg Pocket-Hole Jig XL, the Kreg Jig HD and 1.5" (38mm) or larger stock. These large 2-1/2" (64mm) long 14g hardened-steel screws provide incredible shear-resistance, and have a Protec-Kote finish with three anti-corrosion layers for long term moisture resistance. Uses a #3 square driver.
Kreg Screws are case hardened, a process that forms a tough outer shell (or case) to make the screw durable but keeps the core softer to prevent the screw from becoming brittle. That means you get the best of both worlds: a strong screw that won't snap.
