These new Blade Chuck Heads were developed in Switzerland by Scies Miniatures/Pgas in association with the HEIG engineering school in Yverdon.The studies and the tests demonstrated that the weight of Scroll Saw heads is directly related to the service life and vibration of the machine. These new heads, manufactured in aeronautical aluminium of which the strength and weight are optimal, are 40% lighter than the original machine heads.The results of this development are a more compact head design where vibrations are reduced to a minimum. The wear and service life of mechanical parts of the scroll saw are also improved.The installation of these new heads is very simple and only takes a few minutes.
