Laguna Thin-Kerf Riving Knife

Laguna Thin-Kerf Riving Knife

Product Code:
LGT-RIVING-2MM

This accessory from Laguna has been designed for safer cutting with thinner-kerf blades.Standard riving knives have a thickness suited to standard blades, but one can't just use a standard riving knife with a thin-kerf blade as the resulting cut (kerf) in the material is too thin to pass through the riving knife. It is also not safe to remove the riving knife altogether, as the resulting cut can "close" on the back of the blade, with significant risk of kick-back as a result. The solution is to use a thinner riving knife to suit the blade being used. This unit features a 2mm (0.08") thickness, which suits blades with a 1.8mm 0.07") maximum thickness body and a minimum 2.2mm (0.09") kerf width.
