The Robert Sorby ProEdge offers effortlessly repeatable sharpening every time. Hugely versatile, this industrial strength machine is built to last and delivers astounding ‘factory finish’ results without fail. Perhaps the most simple to use sharpener on the market, this system replicates the industry standard of achieving a flat grind using the preferred method of belts over traditional grinding wheels. Sharpens bench, framing, carving and turning chisels, drill bits, plane irons, knives and garden tools.

ProEdge is a revolutionary sharpening system introduced by Robert Sorby on a scale that is available to anyone who wants to keep their tools sharp, whether they be a small workshop in the backyard or under the house, a commercial workshop with employees needing to keep their tools honed for best performance or even someone running a tool sharpening business.

Central to the ProEdge is an abrasive belt which is a quick and efficient method of putting a keen edge on each and every tool. Belts run cool with a light touch, helping to avoid your tool from overheating. The ProEdge comes with analuminiumoxide belt, while a selection of sizes in ceramic or even diamond are also available.

The integrated angle setter can be pre-set to 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 45, 60, 80 and90 degreeangles, or can be manually set to any other angle in between. A wide range of other jigs and accessories are available to assist with creating and maintaining an optimal edge of a range of household and workshop tools and blades.

The ProEdge belt runs at 440m/min or 1440ft/min.
