The Tormek Axe Jig allows you to sharpen any type of axe to a convex, flat or concave bevel. The composite jaws close securely around the axe head allowing for simple, symmetrical and precise sharpening. It suits all kinds of axes from hatchets to carpenters' axes, carving axes and broad axes - just to name a few!

With the TOR-AX-40 you have complete freedom to choose the best sharpening angle for your axe. This versatile jig offers a broad range in positioning when sharpening. You can either sharpen edge trailing (the edge in the same direction as the rotation of the grinding wheel), edge leading (the edge against the direction of rotation), or standing or sitting on either side of the machine. This easy-to-use jig works with the Tormek T-8, T-4 and older models, making it the perfect addition to your workshop or home set-up.
