Accurately fitted solid steel guide rods reduce wear and tear, giving this vise a smooth and true parallel action, free of side or cross deflection.Its jaws are equipped with a "toe-in" feature. When fully closed the jaws meet only at the top to provide even clamping over the whole depth of your workpiece. Cast jaws also have 1/4" x 20 threaded holes for mounting your own wooden faces.Square body seating provides easy fit-up under your bench so that the jaws will be flush with your bench top.The steel main screw has buttress threads for smooth, accurate and positive adjustment.
