Rockler have made finishing easy. Minimal surface contact is desirable when finishing. The Rockler Bench Cookie Cones offer just this, along with the non-slip surface on the underneath side. This enables you to place the cookies/comes where you need them, and with the addition of risers, the workpiece can be raised that little bit further.
