This small, low-angle block plane is ideal for trim carpentry. At 14 oz it is half the weight of a standard block plane, a big plus if you carry it in your apron all day.
The 5 1/2" × 1 3/4" ductile cast iron body takes knocks in stride. It has good hand feel; unique side wings allow a comfortable firm grip and provide stability for shooting. A combined feed and lateral adjustment mechanism makes setting easy and accurate. 12° bed angle. Patented.
It comes with a lapped 25° bevel blade made of O1, A2 or PM-V11 tool steel. The O1 blade is 0.098" thick (nearly 25% thicker than standard 0.080" block plane blades), 1 1/4" wide, and hardened to Rc58-60. For yet more beef, choose the A2 blade or the PM-V11 blade, each 1/8" thick.
Made in Canada.
